Edwards and Gary O'Neil represent the early candidates under consideration to succeed Vitor Pereira as manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Pereira was dismissed on Sunday after the team's 10-match winless beginning to the top-flight campaign.

Furthermore Edwards and O'Neil - each of whom have previous associations to the club - are among the options to be considered by the Wolves leadership.
